Patriarch Theophilos III met with pilgrims from around the world and Metropolitan Benedict for discussions about the Nativity Basilica in Bethlehem.

On February 13, 2026, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem held a series of meetings with church representatives and pilgrim groups at the Patriarchal residence. First, he received Metropolitan Benedict of Diocaesarea, the patriarchal representative in Bethlehem. The conversation focused on issues related to the administration and current concerns of the Nativity Basilica of Christ. This was reported by Orthodox Times.
