Theological Seminary Launched Educational Platform in Brookline
The new website of the Scriptorium Initiative aims to make Orthodox teaching digitally accessible worldwide and offer continuing education for clergy and believers.
Hellenic College Holy Cross in Brookline, Massachusetts has launched a new online platform to make theological and spiritual content accessible worldwide. It was developed by the college's faculty under the leadership of Dean Eugene J. Pentiuc. This was reported by Orthodox Observer. The digital offering is conceived as a space for teaching, preaching, and theological exchange. Faculty members receive their own sections where they can publish content on the Bible, theology, and spirituality. The initiative is intended to serve as a kind of digital agora where clergy, believers, and interested parties can engage in dialogue and grapple with questions of faith in a changing world.
Also planned is a continuing education program with multi-week modules for clergy and laity. While clergy can deepen their theological knowledge or acquire new skills for digital proclamation, the offering for laity is aimed at beginners and advanced participants alike. The initiative is supported by grants and combines online formats with in-person events such as courses, workshops, and webinars.
