Patronal feast in honor of blessed Xenia in Bielefeld

With a festive divine service, the Orthodox community in Bielefeld celebrated their church patronal feast. Several clergy from the region concelebrated.

On February 6, the Orthodox community in Bielefeld celebrated its patronal feast in honor of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg. The Divine Liturgy was led by the parish rector, Archpriest Dimitry Isaev, and gathered numerous faithful for common worship and prayer. Several clergy from neighboring parishes served in concelebration. This was reported by the official Telegram channel of the ROCA Eparchy.

Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg lived in the 18th century and, after the early death of her husband, led a life of voluntary poverty and prayer. As a so-called "fool for Christ," she dedicated her life to repentance, helping those in need, and comforting people. In Orthodox tradition, she is venerated to this day as an intercessor in family concerns and personal troubles, which is why her feast day holds special spiritual significance for many faithful.
