In Munich, a workshop "Serbian as the Language of Faith" took place
Participants of a workshop engage with the spiritual and cultural significance of the Serbian language.
On March 7, 2026, the Orthodox youth community of the Serbian Orthodox parish in Munich organized a workshop titled "Serbian as the Language of Faith." The event took place in the library of the church center and was led by Vera Bermel, who works as a soloist, lecturer for the Serbian language, and author. The community reported this on Instagram. In the first part of the workshop, the speaker introduced the participants to the Serbian language and its historical development. Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of language as a creative but also destructive force, examined in connection with the biblical understanding of language, especially with the Book of Genesis.
The second part of the event was dedicated to the creative work of the participants. Those present were given the opportunity to present and share their own texts and works with each other. The organizers emphasized that the development of personal talents is an important component of spiritual and personal development and thanked all participants for the shared time and engagement.
