Book presentation "Wisdom of Our Ancestors" announced in Augsburg
A new collection of Serbian folk wisdom will be presented in the Orthodox community.
The Serbian Orthodox community in Augsburg invites on March 7 to a presentation of the new book "Mudrosti predaka naših" ("Wisdom of Our Ancestors") by Archpriest Bojan Simić. The event will take place at 6:00 PM in the church center of the Serbian Orthodox Church at Kreuzerstraße 22. This was reported by the Serbian Orthodox community from Augsburg. The book is the result of fifteen years of research and collection work. It contains more than 1,600 folk wisdoms, proverbs, and sayings that have been thematically organized and provide insight into the spiritual and cultural tradition of the Serbian people.
The conversation partner at the book presentation is Priest Nenad Živković. The event offers an opportunity to discuss the significance of language, tradition, and inherited knowledge in today's time and to rediscover the cultural roots of the community.
