Serbian Community Munich Organizes Festive Sretenje Concert

The Serbian Orthodox Church Community of Munich is organizing a festive Sretenje concert on Sunday, February 15th. The occasion marks both the ecclesiastical feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the national holiday of the Republic of Serbia. The concert begins at 7:30 PM and is intended for community members as well as the interested public in Munich. The community reported this on Instagram.
The musical evening will be performed by the renowned Munich ensemble Duo Moderé, consisting of Zdravko Živković on accordion and Andreas Planitz on saxophone. The duo is known for its stylistic versatility and combines different musical traditions. The program includes works of classical music, jazz, and traditional music, which are to be presented in a new light within a sacred framework.
With this concert, the community wishes to highlight both the religious significance of the feast and its cultural dimension. Sretenje holds a special place in the Serbian Orthodox calendar, as it connects spiritual and national traditions.
