Berlin Christopher Street Day was extended to two days

The extension of the CSD has met with widespread criticism from the population.

The Berlin Christopher Street Day (CSD) is set to be expanded to two days for the first time this year. In addition to the traditional demonstration and closing rally on July 25, an event is already planned for the evening before at the Brandenburg Gate. A so-called "Democracy Evening" with several stages is to take place there. This was reported by evangelisch. This year's CSD is under the motto "Attitude is hot". The campaign is particularly aimed at younger people and deliberately uses elements from the so-called "dating language" to motivate political participation. The goal is to encourage visitors to participate in the state parliament election in September and to call for voting.

At the same time, the orientation of this year's CSD, particularly the connection of socio-political messages with election appeals, is meeting with criticism in conservative circles. The increasing politicization of the event as well as the thematic focus of the campaign are particularly criticized.

Previously, UOJ reported that a book presentation by Metropolitan Grigorije was announced in Frankfurt.
