Easter Celebrated Solemnly in Nuremberg

Serbian Orthodox community gathered numerous faithful for Pascha.

In the Serbian Orthodox community in Nuremberg, the Easter services were solemnly celebrated during the night of April 11-12. This is evidenced by recordings from participants showing a large number of believers and a festive atmosphere. This was reported by UOJ on Telegram. The celebrations were preceded by the days of Holy Week, which were marked by intense prayer atmosphere and spiritual preparation. On Good Friday, members of the Orthodox youth together with the circle of Serbian Orthodox sisters (Kolo Srpskih Sestara) decorated Christ's tomb as well as the church. After the evening burial service, young people remained overnight in the church and read psalms at Christ's tomb. In the morning, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated, while the faithful then awaited the nighttime Easter celebration. According to available reports, the church was exceptionally well attended, so that not all participants could find space inside and part of the faithful celebrated outside.

The celebration of Pascha was conducted in a particularly solemn and reverent atmosphere and emphasized the central significance of the feast in church life. "Christ is risen!"

Previously, UOJ reported that youth organized a relief action in Munich during Holy Week.
