Metropolitan Mark led Good Friday service in Munich
The celebration of Christ's Burial took place in the ROCOR cathedral.
In the cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) in Munich, the solemn Good Friday service was celebrated. The focus was on the rite of Christ's burial, which is one of the central liturgical actions of this day. This was reported by UOJ on Telegram. The service was led by Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany, together with the clergy of the diocese. Despite it being a weekday, numerous faithful gathered in the cathedral to observe this special day in prayer and spiritual reflection.
During the celebration, the burial shroud of Christ, which depicts the burial of the Lord, was carried to the center of the church and placed for veneration. Good Friday is considered one of the most significant days of the church year and commemorates the suffering and death of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Previously, UOJ reported that in Cologne the Great Oil Blessing was celebrated in two parishes.
