Ukrainian Orthodox Community in Cologne Adjusted Memorial Day and Services
The Ukrainian Orthodox Community in Cologne has combined Panichida and Liturgy on the 4th Sunday of Lent.
The Ukrainian Orthodox community in Cologne has announced the service schedule for March 21 and 22. The memorial service originally planned for Saturday has been moved to the following Sunday and will take place after the Divine Liturgy. The announcement was published on Telegram. On March 22, the Church observes the 4th Sunday of Great Lent, dedicated to Saint John Climacus, as well as the commemoration of the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste. The service begins with confession, followed by the Hours and the Divine Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great.
Following this, a Panichida, a communal meal, and the Sacrament of Holy Unction are planned. The community invites all faithful to participate together in the services and to observe the Lenten period in prayer and fellowship.
