Metropolitan Methodios received Archbishop of Albania in Boston
Meeting of two spiritual church leaders emphasized unity and cooperation of the Orthodox Church.
On March 2, 2026, Metropolitan Methodios of Boston received the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania, Ioannis, for an official luncheon. The meeting provided an opportunity for personal exchange and strengthening of ecclesiastical bonds between the local churches. This was reported by Orthodox Times. > >Among those present were also Archbishop Elpidophoros of America as well as other hierarchs and clergy from the region. In their conversations, they emphasized the importance of cooperation, brotherly fellowship, and the common witness of the Orthodox Church.
