In Munich, the shroud was displayed on Good Friday
In the Serbian Orthodox community in Munich, the Vespers with the procession of the burial shroud was celebrated on Good Friday. The service is one of the central liturgical celebrations of this day and commemorates the taking down of Christ from the cross and his burial. The community reported this on Instagram. During the celebration, the burial shroud was carried to the center of the church and laid down for veneration. The faithful gathered in silent devotion to commemorate in prayer the Passion and death of Jesus Christ.
The service was characterized by a quiet and solemn atmosphere and was marked by inner contemplation. The procession of the epitaphios forms one of the most important moments of Good Friday and prepares the faithful for the approaching Resurrection of Christ.
Previously, UOJ reported that ROJ Cologne published a video about the suffering of Christ.
