Metropolitan of Sofia warned against fake video of the Patriarch

The Holy Metropolis of Sofia has warned about a manipulated video circulating on social networks that allegedly shows Daniel. According to church leadership, the material was created using artificial intelligence and falsifies both the image and voice of the Patriarch. This was reported by Orthodox Times. In an official statement, the Metropolis emphasized that the Patriarch was not involved in any way in creating the video. Furthermore, the content is not related to the Church's teaching. At the same time, it was clarified that the Church leader fundamentally does not advertise products or services through media or social networks.

The Metropolis has reported the incident to the relevant state authorities. The faithful were called upon to be vigilant with digital content and to trust only information from official church sources.

Previously, UOJ reported that dioceses in Rhineland-Palatinate commented on the new burial law.
