Youth Pilgrimage to Serbia Announced for August 2026

The Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe has announced a youth pilgrimage to Serbia with the blessing of Bishop Irenei. The trip will take place from August 22 to 31, 2026, and is aimed at young believers who wish to visit significant Orthodox shrines. The news was published on Instagram. The pilgrimage will focus on the Fruška Gora region, which is called the "Serbian Athos" due to its numerous historical monasteries. Visits to monasteries associated with Saints Nikolaj Velimirović and Justin Popović are planned, as well as a stay in Belgrade.

The pilgrimage will be accompanied by clergy who will offer spiritual conversations, confession, and pastoral care during the journey. Due to limited places, early registration is recommended. Further information is available through the diocese's website.
