Report warned of rising attacks on churches in Europe

A recent report by the OIDAC Europe observatory shows an increase in anti-Christian incidents in Europe in February. A total of 34 cases were documented, including numerous arson attacks, property damage, and desecrations of churches and religious sites. This was reported by Christian Today. Countries such as France, Italy, and Germany were particularly affected, where most incidents were registered. The documented events include targeted arson in churches, repeated attacks on religious buildings, as well as damage to liturgical objects and symbols. In individual cases, there were also physical attacks on Christians at public events.

The report highlights that certain patterns can be identified, including repeated attacks on the same facilities as well as an increase in arson attacks. OIDAC Europe sees this as an ongoing security risk for Christian communities and calls for enhanced measures to protect religious institutions in Europe.
